Today, we remember Officer Kevin Cram and honor his service, sacrifice, and the lasting impact he left on those around him.

Three years later, we continue to keep Kevin’s family, friends, and fellow officers in our thoughts and prayers as they continue to miss him. 🙏🖤

Gone, but never forgotten.

Today we remember fallen Officer Kevin Cram, who lost his life on September 13, 2023 while serving with the Algona Police Department. Our thoughts are with Kevin’s loved ones, friends, and fellow officers as they continue to carry his memory in their hearts. Rest in peace, Officer Cram. You may no longer be with us, but you will never be forgotten.

🐾🖤 K9 KOVU — FINAL 10-42 🖤🐾

After 9 years of dedicated service, K9 Kovu is officially retiring! This past Saturday, Kovu and Deputy Harmon took their final shift together.

Through countless calls, searches, and long nights, they built a bond rooted in trust, loyalty, and courage. Kovu proudly protected his handler and our communities, helping get countless narcotics off our streets.

Now it’s time for treats, naps, playtime, and retirement! 🦴🐾❤️

Thank you for your service, Kovu. You earned this next chapter!

We have received several reports of scam calls from someone pretending to be a Kossuth County Deputy, claiming they need to speak with the person regarding a “legal matter.”

⚠️ Please be cautious! Do not provide personal or financial information or send money. ⚠️

If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and independently verify who is calling.

The Kossuth county sheriffs office would not call you to solicit payment over the phone regarding legal matters.

These three aren’t just working dogs — they’re dedicated partners, teammates, and valued members of our Sheriff’s Office family. From training and searches to helping keep our community safe, they put in the work every day alongside their handlers.

We’re incredibly proud of Kovu, Thor, and Pedro and grateful for the dedication, loyalty, and hard work they bring to the job. 🖤🐾
