For this week’s department drill members were presented with a unique rescue scenario - Rubin our rescue dummy had fallen into the back of a dump truck and hurt his back! Members made quick access to the “patient” and packaged him and setup a haul system for removal. In addition members also rescued another “patient” from under a vehicle in a separate scenario. Great work by everyone who attended!

Members needed so if you want to join us and support our volunteer department please stop by and see us 7pm any Tuesday evening at 284 Alphano Road. Our junior program starts at age 16 and regular membership at age 18. All training is provided at no cost! PM with any questions as well.

At 00:26 on 10/12/2026 the Allamuchy Fire Department was dispatched to Route 80 Eastbound MM 22.2 for a reported multi tractor trailer and passenger vehicle accident. Assistant Chief 91, Heavy Rescue 91-75, Engine 91-61 and Rescue 91-74 arrived on scene to find one rolled over TT with two other TT’s involved and two other damaged passenger vehicles. EMS from Allamuchy-Green First Aid Squad transported multiple parties and a minor fluid leak was mitigated. Two lanes will be closed in the area for most of the morning while crews clean up the rolled trailer and contents and replace the guardrail. This is the 8th accident on the highway we have responded to in the last 24 hours - please drive with caution in the area!

It’s been a busy day for the Allamuchy Fire Department with 4 calls already. The last accident was 2 tractor trailers and a car on Route 80 westbound in the area of MM21. Please use caution in the area as the left lanes will be shut the remainder of the afternoon for cleanup and guardrail repairs. Most importantly SLOW DOWN and use caution on the very wet roadways today! We also witnessed numerous vehicles riding the shoulder - the shoulder is for disabled or emergency vehicles ONLY - please be respectful and don’t cause unnecessary delays for first responders!!
