Students from Allen ISD got hands-on with careers in engineering, robotics, automation, and quality control, thanks to companies like All Metals Fabricating, Nordson Corporation, IntelliEPI, KONE, FlexLink, and EagleNxt opening their doors.

This is what intentional investment looks like. Partnerships like these continue building the workforce pipeline that keeps our businesses thriving. It's a big reason companies choose to grow here, and why employees choose to build their careers here too.

We're excited to welcome Meritex, a Minnesota-based real estate firm, as the new owner of the 58-acre industrial park here in Allen.

Their vision to nearly double the park's footprint is a testament to the momentum building in 121 North — a corridor representing $20 billion in investment and one of the most compelling business destinations in North Texas.

Bravo Park at Sloan Corners will officially celebrate its grand opening on October 3 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The park is already bringing new outdoor amenities to one of Allen’s newest mixed-use developments, with dog parks, pickleball courts, walking trails, public art and more.

The grand opening celebration will include live music, a farmers and vendor market, pickleball classes, food trucks, family activities and a commemorative tree planting.

Visitors can also meet Fable, Bravo Park’s Reading Bear, recently named after nearly 125 community submissions with help from the Allen Public Library.
As Sloan Corners continues to take shape, Bravo Park is creating a place for people to gather, play and enjoy the outdoors while adding another quality-of-life amenity to Allen.

Allen’s future workforce is being shaped well beyond the classroom.

Through a summer externship program with Allen ISD, Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas and the Allen Economic Development Corporation, teachers spend time inside local businesses to better understand the skills employers need today.

Since 2023, 75 Allen ISD teachers have participated, bringing real-world insights on communication, collaboration, technology and other workplace skills back to their students.

By connecting educators directly with employers, Allen is helping build a stronger talent pipeline and giving students greater insight into the career opportunities available in their own community.

Momentum is building at Sloan Corners!

The Billingsley Company's $2 billion mixed-use development is picking up serious momentum, with three new retail tenants preparing to open their doors: Rodeo Goat, Mexican Bar and Flat Grounds Coffee.

City Futsal Allen is set to follow in December, and construction on four new retail buildings totaling 43,000 square feet breaks ground this fall.
