📢 IMPORTANT NOTICE – 2026 SUMMER PROPERTY TAXES
Due to a technical error, some residents recently received a delinquent summer property tax notice containing incorrect dates.
Please note the following clarifications:
✅ The notice applies to your 2026 Summer Property Taxes, NOT your 2025 Summer Property Taxes.
✅ The amount due listed on your letter is correct. This amount is valid for payments received by October 31, 2026.
✅ A 1% interest charge is added on the first day of each month until payment is received.
✅ An additional 3% penalty will apply to unpaid taxes after February 14, 2027.
📬 Reminder: Postmarks are not accepted. Payments must be received in our office by October 31 to qualify for the amount shown on your notice.

🗳️ Early Voting starts this Saturday!

📅 Saturday, October 24 – Sunday, November 1

Early voting is a quick and convenient way to cast your ballot before Election Day! Unlike absentee voting, early voting works much like voting on Election Day: you’ll mark your ballot and insert it directly into a tabulator.

📬 Before returning your absentee ballot, please make sure you sign the purple return envelope! Your ballot cannot be counted unless the envelope is signed.

If your envelope is missing a signature, don’t worry! The Allendale Township Clerk’s Office will contact you so you have an opportunity to correct the issue.

✅ Friendly reminder: Every absentee ballot request and every returned absentee ballot is checked by Allendale Township Clerk’s Office staff to ensure signatures match.

Both drop boxes are video monitored 24/7 and are checked every day our office is open by deputized township staff.

One way you can return your mail (absentee) ballot is at a secure, monitored drop box in the city or township where you're registered to vote.

📬 3,350 absentee ballots are headed to Allendale voters today! The Allendale Township Clerk’s Office has been busy all week preparing these ballots for mailing. If you requested an absentee ballot, keep an eye on your mailbox - you should receive it within about a week.
