It's that time of year again Mules! As we prepare for the festivities this weekend please keep these tips in mind along with the email that was sent out!
Some of the contents of the email is listed below for reference purposes.
Being a Responsible Host:
You are responsible for your property and everything that happens on it, including guest behavior and any potential damage. Keep your phone nearby and make sure you know who your sober monitor is in case any issues arise.
Police & Security Presence:
Because of St Patrick's Day activities, there will be more of a Police and security presence than is typical on a weekend throughout Allentown, including around the campus vicinity. This will include Campus Safety Officers, Allentown Police Officers on patrol, and possibly Liquor Control Enforcement Officers in the vicinity. Their primary job is to ensure the safety of all community members and to assist anyone in distress. In addition, all student code of conduct policies will be enforced this coming weekend just as they would any other weekend.
Pedestrian Safety:
Please remain mindful of pedestrian safety around your property.
Managing Guests & Alcohol:
Checking IDs is the only way to ensure only legal-aged guests consume alcohol. Remember: alcohol must not be provided to minors, no kegs are allowed, and charging attendees for drinks or cups violates LCE laws.
Community & Clean-Up:
Let your neighbors know about your event in advance. Keep trash under control by providing new trash bags and encouraging guests to use them. All yards and spaces must be cleaned up immediately following the event.
Medical Amnesty:
Do not hesitate to reach out to Campus Safety and Police at (484) 664-3110 as they are here to support you. Whether you choose to drink or not, we want to remind you of the College’s medical amnesty policy. If someone is in need of assistance, please call. Our students’ health and safety is ALWAYS our number one concern.
Behavior Expectations:
To ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment, the following are prohibited:
Public urination
Sitting and/or standing on roofs
Excessive noise
Public intoxication
Enjoy yourself Mules, but be safe!

Our officers here at our Campus Police Department come from varying backgrounds, and have a variety of different trainings and skills that they bring to our department. We pride ourselves on having well-trained officers who are always eager to learn and have many things that they can contribute to our community here at Muhlenberg College.
We are constantly seeking professional development for our officers and First Aid/CPR is one of the many trainings our department has. Follow along as we dive into more of our trainings over the semester!
Enjoy the rest of your week Mules!

Good afternoon Mules! With the upcoming winter storm we wanted to update you all on some effects it will have on the Campus.
- We are expecting a large amount of snow, with most reports stating somewhere around 12-18 inches.
- There will be slippery and hazardous conditions around Campus as we attempt to keep up with the snow and clear walkways, roadway, etc. PLEASE watch your step as you walk around campus.
- Avoid driving if possible! If you must drive, PLEASE drive carefully and safely.
- Campus Police is here 24/7 as usual and are here for any emergencies you may have such as power outages, etc.
- As of 8 PM today, anyone in Martin Luther's parking lot will be notified to move their vehicle to the Hoffman lot so that ML can be plowed. Further updates on parking will be provided when Hoffman needs to be plowed.
- Chew Street and some of the surrounding streets are designated snow emergency routes and CANNOT be parked on. There is a list of them in this post. If you are parked there when the snow emergency starts, you are subject to towing through Allentown and we cannot do anything about that.
Most importantly Mules, stay warm, stay safe, enjoy the snow, but do so responsibly, and we are always here around the clock if you need us!
