Yesterday I voted to lower your electric bill by cutting almost $2 billion in taxes from our utility bills in just the first year.

HB1667 would make these savings permanent and help Pennsylvania be more affordable for our families over the long term.

On July 4th at 10:30 AM Sellersville Borough will, once again, participate in the national Let Freedom Ring celebration. The event encourages communities and organizations across the country to ring their bells thirteen times in honor of the original thirteen colonies.

The ceremony will take place in front of the Sellersville Museum (120 E. Church Street) which is housed in the area’s first “modern” multi-story school built in 1875. Area residents will pull hard on the long rope which will toll the building’s original bell (located high above in the bell tower) which, for almost a century called the town’s children to school each morning.

As has been the practice, the ceremony will include a reading of the Declaration of Independence and patriotic music. This year, in honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the event will include a discussion amongst notable figures including Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Betsy Ross and other colonial figures (all portrayed by Sellersville elected officials and borough staff.)

Imagine a data center getting approved by the zoning commission without public notice. The legislation I sponsored along with Senator Pat Stefano to close that loophole passed the Senate unanimously. Everyone agrees the public deserves to know what’s going on in their government.
