We were honored to be invited to volunteer at the 2026 East Penn All Star Sports Event last week. Some of the adults in our community supports program volunteered to set up the canteen and serve hotdogs, chips and water to the student athletes.

Our friends from Alcon where at Camp Lily Berks getting the campground ready for the summer season. The new mural they painted will get all the attention (we love it!), but the raking, weeding, washing, and mulching really makes a huge difference. It is always exciting to see the campground come back to life each spring and we rely on volunteers to make it happen.

Meet Joy, a senior at Reading Muhlenberg Career & Technical Center. She joined us as an intern last fall through a partnership with the school and CareerLink, and made an immediate impact with her strong work ethic, positive attitude, and administrative skills. Joy is now a member of our administrative team. You will find her smiling face greeting visitors at the front desk and supporting programming behind the scenes—we’re grateful to have her on our team.

We are excited to announce our outpatient Orthopedic Clinic in Reading is now partnering with Nemours, one of the nation’s largest pediatric health systems. Services will begin in July and we are accepting referrals now. Treatment is provided at no cost thanks to funding from United Way of Berks County and The Neag Foundation. Contact 610-775-1431 x407

This week GAI-TRONICS, our neighbors across the street, held a bake sale to support our Send a Kid to Camp scholarship fund.
