🎈Thank you to everyone who joined us for this month’s Franklin Park Community Conversations!

We welcomed Ce-Ce Gerlach, current Allentown City Councilwoman and candidate for State Representative, for a discussion covering issues that affect our community, from affordable living to youth and education. Neighbors asked questions about improving our education system, supporting young people, and helping them transition into the workforce.

We appreciate Ce-Ce taking the time to join us, answer questions, and share her passions. These conversations give us space to learn from one another, ask questions, and better understand the issues that shape our neighborhoods.

Mark your calendars! Our next gathering is November 19th. We hope you’ll join us for another evening of connection, conversation, and community. Everyone is welcome, so bring a friend or neighbor!

Our latest Community Conversations gathering brought 1st & 6th Ward neighbors together for an important discussion around traffic safety in Allentown.

With the City’s Traffic Superintendent joining us, neighbors were able to share areas of concern, ask questions, and discuss safety issues they’re seeing around the city.

Creating space for residents to raise concerns and have these conversations is an important part of working toward solutions together.

We’re proud to celebrate this milestone at 814 Gordon Street and the new opportunities it creates for Allentown residents.

Breaking barriers starts with creating more pathways to stability, opportunity, and belonging. We’re grateful to be part of a community that continues to work together toward better for everyone.

Another great Franklin Park Community Conversation in the books! 🌿

This month, we made things a little more interactive with a game of Civics! Neighbors, partners, and community members put their knowledge to the test while learning more about who has the power to address different issues in our community.

We talked through where to turn, who can help, and how understanding our local systems can help us take action. Because knowing who to call, where to go, and how to advocate is part of building a stronger community.

We appreciate everyone who continues to show up, ask questions, share ideas, and learn alongside one another. WE is greater than ME. ❤️

We are so excited for what’s ahead in Franklin Park!

City officials, community leaders and a representative from the Bezos Earth Fund on Saturday unveiled renderings for a $4 million renovation of Franklin Park, a 1.1-acre neighborhood space in West Allentown. The plan includes two playgrounds, a pavilion, community gardens, a full-size basketball court, a splash pad, exercise equipment and more than 40 trees. Story in comments.
