❄️🚨Declaration of Snow Emergency❄️🚨

Due to anticipated winter weather conditions, Salisbury Township hereby declares a Snow Emergency effective Sunday, February 22 at 8:00 a.m. through Monday, February 23 at 12:00 p.m.

With the winter weather expected tomorrow, we kindly ask residents to assist our Public Works crews by limiting on-street parking beginning tomorrow, February 22, to allow for safe and efficient snow removal operations.

Please keep the following in mind:
• Whenever possible, please park vehicles in driveways and off the street starting Sunday morning.
• On narrow streets, please avoid parking on both sides of the road, as this can prevent plow trucks and emergency vehicles from getting through.
• Street-parked vehicles may limit the Township’s ability to properly clear snow and maintain safe road conditions.

Residents are encouraged to watch for any additional updates or changes to trash and recycling collection as conditions evolve.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep Township roads clear and safe for everyone.

All courts will be closed on Monday, February 16th in observance of the Presidents' Day holiday. 🇺🇸

Presidents’ Day is celebrated to honor all those who served as President of the United States and, since 1879, it has been a federal holiday honoring Founding Father George Washington, who led the Continental Army to victory in the American Revolutionary War, presided at the Constitutional Convention of 1787, and served as the first United States President from 1789 to 1797.

We have a bit of a mystery we are hoping our community can help us solve. This week we have been receiving what appear to be baby registry gifts at our office for Daisy Campos. These packages have been delivered via FedEx and Walmart. FedEx has taken their deliveries back upon realizing it wasn’t the correct address, however Walmart drops the gifts at the door. If anyone knows Daisy, please let us know so we can get in contact with her. Please share!

We recently compiled a report of the 2025 case filings for our judicial district. The year concluded with a total of 6,018 cases being filed and processed. The case totals do not include hundreds of additional cases assigned to me in Lehigh County Central Court, DUI central court, night court, on-call/weekend duty or cases handled for other Lehigh County judicial districts. I release this report annually as I am committed to keeping our community apprised of the work we do.

Happy Groundhog Day! Punxsutawney Phil has made his prediction.

Early this morning he awoke from his burrow to see his shadow predicting it will be six more weeks of winter!

The Pennsylvania tradition dating back to 1886, derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if Phil emerges from his burrow and sees his shadow, he will retreat to his den and winter will continue for six more weeks. If Phil does not see his shadow, spring will arrive early.

This evening Santa once again made a stop in Salisbury! Braving the 12° real feel temperature, Santa and the Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan spread the joy of Christmas at the South Mall GIANT. Along with free photos with Santa, complimentary Coca-Cola products and coffee were served. Despite the frigid temperature, Santa and his road crew were so joyful and gracious. Emma is still a bit nervous around Santa, so she had Dada ask Santa for a purple car. Thank you Coca-Cola, GIANT, and the South Mall for organizing this for our community!

On Saturday, my family and I enjoyed Salisbury Township’s first annual Christmas tree lighting event. The event included Santa, Mrs. Claus, reindeer, our first responders and more! It’s great seeing our Salisbury community coming together!

Thank you to Lisa C., our commissioners, public works, Salisbury Police, Eastern and Western Salisbury Fire Departments, and everyone involved for organizing the event.
