The LWV of Massachusetts and many other good government groups, were in Court today challenging President Trump’s Executive Order which interferes with mail-in balloting. It is only the states and Congress that have the power to set parameters on elections. Hopefully the Court will interpret this appropriately.

The states and Congress have the power to set parameters for elections. The Executive has no Constitutional power to interfere with mail-in balloting; and that is, hopefully, how the Court will decide.

Federal Court Hears Challenge to Trump Executive Order Restricting Mail-in Ballots | League of Women Voters A federal District Court heard arguments today in a lawsuit challenging President Trump’s March 31 executive order concerning mail-in voting. Plaintiffs argue that the order violates the US Constitution and federal law and risks mass disenfranchisement of eligible voters.
