Found Dog in the 2200blk of Grove street

Today just after 1600 hrs, station 32 was dispatched on the first alarm assignment to the Lil' Wolf section of district 26 (Tri-Clover Volunteer Fire Co.). Engine Tanker 32 made the response. With Air 32 and Rehab 32 responding once the second alarm was struck. Crews assisted with water supply, fire attack, and overhaul as well as supplying rehab services.

Today members along with Cetronia FD and Greenawalds FD got to teach the kids at the SWT emergency services youth camp all about the fire service.🚒🔥

This past week, Woodlawn hosted PPL Electric Utilities’ responder safety program. Representatives from the primary electricity supplier in our area presented information and demonstrations on a training prop that includes actual equipment PPL uses in their system. This training explains why safe behavior around electrical equipment is so important: it doesn’t have to look dangerous to be dangerous, and just because the power looks out doesn’t mean the lines don’t have enough power to kill somebody. PPL also included a link (see below) for further safety education, both for first responders and the p***c.

While members were finishing the live fire training burn today, a vehicle fire resulting from an accident at Mauch Chunk and Overlook Roads was dispatched. Engine Tanker 32 and Traffic 32 responded from Station 32, while Engine 32 responded directly from the training grounds. First arriving units found a three-vehicle accident with one vehicle involved in fire. Crews stretched an attack line to quickly control the fire and also assisted EMS with the patient care of five individuals.

Today, members from 32, as well as members from Cetronia Volunteer Fire Department, Tri-Clover Volunteer Fire Co., and Bangor Fire Department, got together for some live fire training at the Whitehall Training Grounds. Members spent the day refining their hose management skills and search-and-rescue techniques.

We also had another round of probationary members experience the burn building for the first time, getting a fire dynamics lesson from department officers.

Despite the hot weather, crews had a great time working with departments we see on a regular basis, as well as some we don't usually get to train with.

🥎 4th Annual Battle of the Badges Softball Game 🥎

Join us at Coca-Cola Park on Sunday, September 13th as the South Whitehall Township Police Department takes on the Cetronia Volunteer Fire Department, Greenawalds Fire/Rescue 11, Tri-Clover Volunteer Fire Co., and Woodlawn Fire Department in a friendly softball showdown for a great cause! The game is followed by the final home game of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs’ 2026 season as they play the Worcester WooSox.

This annual rivalry is about more than bragging rights. Every swing, pitch, and run helps support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and BATTLE BORNE, benefiting injured veterans, first responders, Gold Star families, and the families of fallen first responders.

Congratulations to Coach Barry Search on an incredible softball coaching career and well-deserved retirement from Parkland softball.

Over 36 seasons, Coach Search built a legacy of excellence, leading his teams to 289 victories, seven league championships, five district championships and a state title. His impact on countless student-athletes and the Lehigh Valley softball community will be felt for generations. In addition, he coached football for 47 years and track for five years, across a total of 51 years.

While the softball team knows Barry as coach, we at the Woodlawn Fire Department are proud to know him as our chief. His dedication, leadership and commitment to serving others have made a lasting difference, both on the field and in the fire service.
