Planning an activity near a river, lake or reservoir? Help care for the water while you enjoy it. Pack out trash, pick up pet waste and follow local shoreline and recreation rules.

The places where we swim, boat and fish may also be drinking water sources.

Storm drains can carry rain and snowmelt directly to local waterways. Help us protect the Lehigh Valley's drinking water by keeping motor oil, paint, household chemicals and other waste out of storm drains and disposing of them properly.

Each year the American Water Works Association sets aside a week in fall to raise awareness about the importance of caring for our irreplaceable drinking water sources.

Here in the Lehigh Valley, our drinking water 🚰 comes from wells, springs, and the Lehigh River.

Protecting that water before it reaches the treatment plant is an important part of providing high-quality drinking water to our community.
