In Pennsylvania, 11.5% of adults over 65 are diagnosed with Alzheimer's. During the month of June, EverTrue commits to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s, as well as other neurodegenerative diseases, and to promote brain health to reduce the risk of dementia in honor of Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month.
Our experts regularly share with our residents the dementia risk factors they can control, including hypertension, obesity, diabetes, smoking, physical inactivity and poor sleep. In Pennsylvania, 29% of adults have two or more risk factors (not including sleep). Do you have any of these that you can speak to your doctor about?
EverTrue is dedicated to healthy aging. This Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month, we hope you’ll take part in free, virtual wellness sessions to help you “take charge of your brain health” brought to you by our partners at the Alzheimer's Association.

What a great month May was here at Luther Crest. From celebrating Cinco de mayo and Mother's Day to jewelry making, tea parties, a visit from the Wildlife Conservancy, and helping with the Chemo "Bag of Hope" mission, our residents stayed busy making memories and giving back. We also enjoyed recognizing our amazing team during Employee Appreciate Week, with food trucks, friendship rocks created by staff as well as our beautiful flower board with words of inspiration from our staff.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this month so special!!

Yesterday our residents were able to enjoy some tea at Jina's afternoon tea party. Residents enjoyed their tea, some enjoyed dancing to the sounds of Streetcar Silhouette, and all enjoyed time socializing with their neighbors. Thank you, Jina, for a great afternoon!

Residents at EverTrue - Luther Crest are beating the heat by making a splash in our pool walking class! ☀️💦
Pool walking is a wonderful alternative to walking on land, especially for those with joint issues, difficulty with gait and balance, or when the weather isn’t ideal for outdoor walks. The water provides gentle resistance while reducing stress on the body, making it both refreshing and beneficial for overall wellness.
We love seeing our residents stay active, healthy, and cool all summer long! 🏊♀️💙

Happy Senior Health and Fitness Day! Did you know it is recommended that older adults (with physician approval) engage in 150 minutes per week of moderate-intensity aerobic activity plus muscle-strengthening activities at least twice a week?
This doesn’t mean you need to do vigorous aerobics classes or lift heavy weights at the gym. Brisk walking, hiking and swimming are all excellent examples of aerobic activities, while exercises like chair squats or using resistance bands can make a significant difference in helping maintain strength and physical function.
EverTrue wants to keep our residents and clients physically active in the way that works best for them! Find out why staying physically active has so many health benefits for older adults: https://ow.ly/3ICC50YUFOx
