So thrilled to have had the experience to visit the greenhouse at St. John's Lutheran Church. What an amazing endeavor! It was a sight to see the variety and quantity of produce and fruit trees thriving in the greenhouse. Thank you to our knowledgeable host and guide Earl Jones for a fantastic tour!

The first in a series of mahjong classes at the library will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the community room.

We will cover identifying tiles, NMJL rules of the game and spend some time on developing hands with strategies. Mahjong is a four-person player game where players combine a series of 13 tiles through a process of drawing and discarding to complete a pattern for a winning hand - mahjong.

To register for the class, send a Facebook DM, contact the library at 308-762-1387, or email [email protected]. Additional class dates and times will be announced as they become available. Follow the Alliance Public Library page for updates on future mahjong classes. We’ll help you get started so you can play with confidence!

We are always happy to have new library patrons! This group, however, could be a little noisy, LOL 🦃🍗
