Ready for another great year of learning, Leadership and fun? Enroll in 4-H today!
▪️Robotics members need to enroll in 4-H by November.
▪️Shooting sports members must complete enrollment before attending practices.
▪️Club leaders need to enroll before hosting a club meeting.
▪️Enrollment must be completed by June 15, 202 to be eligible to participate in the County Fair!

Congratulations to the Box Butte County 4-H Meats Judging Team!

It was a busy and successful week for the Box Butte County 4-H Meats Judging Team as members Railey Wills, Rozlyn Wills, and Trey Carter, along with coaches Clayton and Taelar Krause, proudly represented Nebraska at the American Royal National 4-H Meats Judging Contest.

The week kicked off in Omaha, where the team competed in the Nebraska Beef Youth Meat Judging Contest at Nebraska Beef and earned an impressive 3rd Place Team finish.

On Monday, the team spent time in Lincoln supermarkets studying retail cuts and fine-tuning their skills in preparation for the national competition held Tuesday at the University of Nebraska.

Their hard work paid off with an outstanding performance at the American Royal National 4-H Meats Judging Contest, where the team earned:

🏆 4th Place Team Overall
🥇 1st Place in Pork Judging
🏅 4th Place in Beef Judging
🏅 4th Place in Retail Cuts Judging
🏅 4th Place in Retail ID
🏅 4th Place in Reasons
🏅 4th Place in Total Judging

Good Luck, Box Butte County 4-H Meats Judging Team! 🥩🍀

Please join us in wishing the Box Butte County 4-H Meats Judging Team the very best of luck as they represent Nebraska at the American Royal 4-H National Meat Evaluation & Identification Contest on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, in Lincoln, Nebraska!

This prestigious national competition brings together some of the top 4-H meat judging teams from across the country. Contestants will put their knowledge and skills to the test by:

✅ Evaluating and placing classes of carcasses and retail meat cuts
✅ Identifying beef, pork, and lamb retail cuts
✅ Demonstrating the industry knowledge and critical thinking skills gained through 4-H participation

We are proud of the dedication, hard work, and countless hours of practice these youth have invested to earn the opportunity to compete on the national stage.
