🚧 STH 25 d**e road from Nelson to Wabasha CLOSED for BNSF railroad crossing replacement Oct 26-30th 🚧

No need to worry, we didn't become the best ambulance service in the business without a little ingenuity, a whole lot of confidence and a backup plan or two that would make Bo & Luke Duke proud...

On a serious note: We have plans in place to ensure our patients continue to receive the highest level of BLS care available, with the same professionalism and fast response you've come to expect from us. A little detour won't derail our commitment to positive patient outcomes for the communities we serve!

Until then, we'll be practicing our "YEEEEHAWWW"

This week, members from the Western Buffalo County Ambulance Service, Waumandee-Montana-Lincoln First Responders and Buffalo County Wisconsin Sheriff's Office attended a Mayo Clinic Trauma Review at the Alma Public Library's new community room. This training was centered around a call all of the agencies teamed up on earlier this year. Each group received high regards for their actions that afternoon, providing quick dispatch, rapid response, a safe landing zone and excellent care of a critically injured patient prior to the helicopter getting them to a Level 1 trauma center. Training opportunities like this reinforce the professional level of care available within our rural service area!

Our on-call crew had a great time at the Alma Area Community Fest today at the Rod & Gun Club! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello, see our ambulance and spend time with our fellow First Responders from the Nelson Volunteer Fire Department , Alma Fire Department as well as Deputy Bresette and Sheriff Laehn. The fire trucks and Buffalo County Wisconsin Sheriff's Office drone were very cool, but we're pretty sure the ambulance was just a little cooler... 😎 🚑 Sorry guys 🤣 🚓 🚒

One of the best parts of EMS isn’t the aircraft, the trucks, or the equipment—it’s the people. Watching dispatchers, first responders, ground crews, and flight teams work in unison reminds us that excellent patient care truly is a team effort. The camaraderie, teamwork, and shared purpose are what make this profession so rewarding.

Shout out to Western Buffalo County Ambulance Service for excellent patient care and Alma Fire Department for setting up a safe landing zone for our crew.
