Today we celebrate the 250th anniversary of America—250 years of freedom, courage, and strength.

As you enjoy the Fourth of July with family and friends, we wish you a day filled with pride and gratitude. Please celebrate responsibly, stay safe around fireworks and grills, and help make this holiday enjoyable for everyone.

Last week, the Almena Fire Dist. trained with purpose by conducting a controlled house burn. Every flame teaches a lesson, every drill builds experience, and every firefighter becomes better prepared to protect our community. Through training today, we help keep Almena Fire Dist safer tomorrow.

Almena Fire Dist. had a great opportunity to participate at the Barron area schools annual brat feed and book sale in Almena. It's a good time to engage the public about the Fire department and Fire safety.

Due to low humidity and high winds today, burning is strongly discouraged. These conditions can cause fires to spread rapidly and get out of control quickly. Please hold off on any burning we’d rather not have to come pay you a visit.
