🎓 Celebrating Our Noyce Scholars! 🔬🧪📐Yesterday, we had the privilege of celebrating our Sul Ross State University Noyce Scholars and their families and recognizing the incredible commitment these future STEM educators are making to students and communities across our region. This year alone, we provided more than $84,000 in Noyce scholarships to support students preparing to become highly qualified math and science teachers. We are incredibly proud of these scholars and excited about the impact they will make in classrooms throughout Texas.

A special thank you to Provost Dr. Bernie Cantens, Dean of Education Dr. Kevin Badgett, and our dedicated Education and STEM faculty, professors, and mentors who encourage, prepare, and support our scholars throughout their journey. We are also deeply grateful to the National Science Foundation for its investment in the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program and in the preparation of the next generation of STEM educators.
And, of course, thank you to the families of our Noyce Scholars. Your encouragement and support are an important part of their success.

❤️ Congratulations to our Noyce Scholars! We are proud of you and the difference you are preparing to make — one classroom, one student, and one community at a time.

Eagle Pass High School honors top-performing STAAR teachers

EAGLE PASS, Texas — Eagle Pass High School recognized 14 educators as STAAR Top-Performing Teachers, celebrating their academic achievements and commitment to helping students succeed.

The recognition reflects more than strong testing results. School officials said it represents the many hours these educators devote to preparing lessons, mentoring students, providing encouragement and creating meaningful classroom experiences.

The teachers recognized were Russell Jimenez, Isaac Pascoe, Linda Rivas, Tavare Chavez, Cody Santos, Natalie Martinez, Gerardo Saldana, Marvelia Flores, Nancy Negrete, Marisol Biddle, Mabel Delgado, Ashley Santos, Myriam Posada and Ciara Sanchez.

EPHS Principal Mr. Huerta and the campus administration thanked the honorees for maintaining high expectations, supporting students through challenges and remaining committed to their academic growth.

School officials emphasized that successful students often have teachers behind them who believe in their abilities and encourage them to overcome obstacles. The educators honored have demonstrated professionalism, perseverance and a passion for helping young people reach their potential.

Their influence, administrators said, extends beyond STAAR performance and the classroom by helping students develop the knowledge, confidence and opportunities needed for future success.

Eagle Pass High School congratulated the teachers and expressed its appreciation for the difference they make each day.

Their achievement reflects what the campus calls “The Eagle Way”—excellence that inspires excellence in others.
