🍂🦃 A MORNING OF FAMILY FUN, FITNESS & GIVING BACK! 🦃🍂

City of Alpine Recreation invites you and your family to join us for a fun-filled morning at Kokernot Park! Get moving, explore the park, enjoy some PBS KIDS fun, and help us give back to our community — all in one morning!

📅 Saturday, November 14th
⏰ 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Kokernot Park – Trails & Large Park Area

🏃‍♀️ FIRST UP — TURKEY TROT ON THE TRAILS!
We’ll kick things off with a FREE, family-friendly Turkey Trot through the trails at Kokernot Park. Walk, jog, or run — there’s no cost and no competition, just for fun! All ages are welcome!

🦃 NEXT — TURKEY SCAVENGER HUNT!
After the Turkey Trot, it’s time to search for the turkeys! Kids will explore the large park area looking for hidden turkeys, and the Top 2 children who find the most will win prizes!

🚐 THEN — VISIT THE BASIN PBS JOLLY TROLLEY!
Once the scavenger hunt is finished, stick around and enjoy the Basin PBS Jolly Trolley! Families can explore PBS KIDS learning, books, educational technology, hands-on activities, and plenty of fun together.

🥫❤️ ALL MORNING LONG — HELP US FILL THE RECREATION TRUCK!
From the beginning of the event until the very end, we’ll be collecting canned food donations to benefit the Family Crisis Center and Alpine Food Pantry.

Bring a can, bring a bag, or bring as much as you can and help us FILL THE RECREATION TRUCK!

🦃 And there’s a little extra fun for giving back — the person or family who donates the MOST canned food will WIN A FREE TURKEY!

Come spend the morning getting active, making memories, and helping our neighbors. ❤️

🎃 Happy October 1st, Alpine! 🍂

October is here, and City of Alpine Recreation would like to add a little extra fun to your family time this month!

Here is an October Dinner & Movie Night Calendar with a different family-friendly movie and simple dinner idea for every night in October. 🎬🍕🍿

There’s no registration and no event to attend—this is simply a fun monthly activity for families to enjoy at home. Pick a night, make the suggested dinner (or your own favorite!), get cozy, and enjoy some quality time together.

You don’t have to follow the calendar every day. Choose your favorites, switch things around, or use it whenever your family needs an easy idea for a night together. 🧡

📸 We’d love to see your Dinner & Movie Nights! If you participate, share a picture in the comments and let us know which movie and meal your family chose!

Alpine Recreation is always looking for simple ways to encourage family time, fun, and community connection.

🍂 Happy October, Alpine!
🎃 Good Food • Spooky Movies • Family Time
🎬 Let the October fun begin!

🌊 THANK YOU FOR AN INCREDIBLE SEASON! ☀️

As we close out another season at Alpine Municipal Pool, I want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to every patron who came through our gates this summer. ❤️

This year brought extended hours, an extended season, new policies, lots of documentation, plenty of learning, and definitely some highs and lows! Through it all, we learned so much and are already excited about what next year can bring.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing pool staff and lifeguards who made it possible for us to stay open longer. Without our lifeguards, none of this would be possible. You are truly appreciated! 🛟❤️

Thank you to our generous donors who provided new pool furniture and additional shade that our community will get to enjoy next year. And a special thank you to Keith Nixon and Kim Morrow for purchasing daily passes to give to kids and families so they could enjoy a day at the pool this summer. That kindness means more than you know. 🥰

For me personally, this pool has become so much more than a place to swim. I've loved the little conversations, the smiles, the laughter, and seeing the joy on people's faces. I especially loved seeing our morning lap swimmers and aerobics group each day. 🏊‍♀️💦

The support, encouragement, and kindness I've received throughout this season have truly touched my heart. You are the reason I take so much pride in this pool and care so deeply about making it a place our community can enjoy.

I hope your summer was as incredible as mine. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me to be part of such an amazing experience.

Until next summer, Alpine! ☀️🌊❤️
