REGISTRATION:
Monday, October 5th thru Wednesday, October 14, 2026 - 8:00am – 4:00pm. Online registration and payment will be available on the website, www.worthtownship.com
Payment due at Coaches’ meeting on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in form of cash or check only.

MANDATORY COACHES’ MEETING: Wednesday, October 14, 2026 @ 4:30 PM in Big Gym

ROSTERS / COACH’S CODE OF CONDUCT FORMS / PARTICIPANT WAIVER/PARENT’S CODE OF CONDUCT FORMS DUE: Prior to First Game

LEAGUE BEGINS: November 9, 2026

CHRISTMAS BREAK: December 21, 2026 – January 1, 2027

LEAGUE RESUMES: January 4 2027

SCHEDULE: Mondays - Thursdays
Games will begin at 4:30pm.

AWARDS: 1st Place – 2nd Place

TEAM LIMIT: 8 teams for the 4th grade division and 10 teams per grade division (5th, 6th, 7th, 8th)

League limit is 50 teams – total

Township Resident Schools will take precedence over Non-Township Resident Schools

$600.00 Per Team – Registration Fee

(Teams may consist of up to 13 players - additional players - $15.00 per player)
($25.00 LATE FEE per team or player will be assessed if signed up after registration date)

Dear School Volleyball Coordinator’s / Coaches:

Worth Township will be hosting a girls volleyball league for 4th through 8th grade players. The league will play 4 days a week (Monday–Thursday) from November 9, 2026 thru March of 2027.

A mandatory Girls Volleyball League – Coach’s Meeting will take place on Wednesday October 14th, 2026, at 4:30pm inside our big gym at the Worth Township Building. This meeting will register your teams.

We are requesting that all coordinators and coaches bring any dates to this meeting that may cause any play conflict so we can do the best we can to create a schedule without rescheduling. Examples of conflicts: Christmas Shows, Religious Education, etc. Also, please check your school’s calendar. No conflict dates will be accepted after this meeting.

Worth Township requires all coaches to sign a Code of Conduct Contract before the league begins. If you would like to view the Worth Township Code of Conduct Contract, it is located on the Worth Township website at www.worthtownship.com.

We are also looking for a few high school students to serve as volleyball referees. Referees must be at least 16 years old and have knowledge of all IHSA volleyball rules and signs. The rate of pay is $16.00 per hour and refs must be available various evenings Monday through Thursday from 4:00pm - 10:00pm. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled. Information will be available on our website that is listed below.

Applications can be picked up at the Worth Township Town Hall located at 11601 South Pulaski Road in Alsip – (Monday thru Thursday from 9:00am – 4pm) or downloaded off our website at www.worthtownship.com. This is the last week to file an appeal for your taxes with the Cook County Assessors office here at the Township. We will stop taking appeal requests on this Friday October 9th to ensure that we have time to properly file all the requests by the county's deadline of Oct 15th.
Worth Township is now open to appeal your Property Taxes with the Cook County Assessor's office. In December you will have a second chance to appeal your property taxes with the Cook County Board of Review. So please call 708-371-5557 and leave a message with your name, PIN, address and phone number. We will file your first appeal now and the second for you in December. Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the League Coordinator and the Township Manager, the volleyball referee is responsible for ensuring a positive experience for participants, coaches, spectators and coworkers.

Qualifications:
The volleyball referees must be at least 17 years of age, have knowledge of all aspects of the rules and hand signals of the game. Must have excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner. Must be able to multi-task.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensures a positive experience
2. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of volleyball rules and policies
3. Enforces all rules during games
4. Officiates volleyball games in a fair manner
5. Interacts with players, coaches, parents, spectators and coworkers in a respectful,
cooperative manner
6. Responsible of all positions
• Scorekeeper
• Line Judge
• Up Referee
• Libero Tracking
7. Adheres to Worth Township policies and procedures

Must be available weekdays (Monday through Thursday) beginning at 3:45pm - End time varies per schedule (no later than 10:00pm)
