๐Ÿšจ PLEASE SHARE ๐Ÿšจ

The City of Alton Parks & Recreation Department is asking for the communityโ€™s help regarding a missing sign from an equipment shed at Gordon Moore Park.

The Godfrey Timberwolves use this diamond as their home field and have put a tremendous amount of time, effort, and resources into improving the field and adding new amenities for their players, families, and fans. The missing sign was donated by Schwartzkopf Printing last year and has become a special part of their home-field identity.

The sign was last known to be in place sometime between Sunday, September 27, and Thursday, October 1.

If you have any information about the sign or may have seen it at Gordon Moore Park during this timeframe, please reach out to the Godfrey Timberwolves or the Alton Parks & Recreation Department.

We know how much our local youth sports organizations invest in our parks and facilities, and we appreciate the Timberwolvesโ€™ continued efforts to improve their home field and provide quality opportunities for area youth.

Please help us share this post and keep an eye out for the missing sign. โšพ๏ธ๐ŸฅŽ

Thank you for helping us take care of Gordon Moore Park and the facilities our community uses and enjoys!

DID YOU KNOW?

There is a peaceful garden tucked away inside Gordon F. Moore Park!

The Oriental Garden features a bridge crossing over a pond filled with colorful koi, a relaxing waterfall, a pagoda and beautiful landscaping.

The garden is also part of a quarter-mile trail that winds around a 13-acre lake and past trickling streams.

Alton Parks and Recreation recently expanded that walking trail to extend the route you can take!

Next time you're at Gordon F. Moore Park, take a walk through the Oriental Garden and enjoy one of Alton's hidden gems.
