🚔🎉 9th Annual National Night Out – A Huge Success! 🎉🚔

Last night, the Alton Police Department celebrated our 9th Annual National Night Out, and what an incredible turnout!

We enjoyed a great crowd, plenty of giveaways and prizes, and most importantly, the opportunity to connect with the community we proudly serve.

It was also a great evening of networking with our fellow law enforcement partners, elected officials, and community supporters. We strengthened existing relationships, made new friends, and shared plenty of smiles along the way!

At the Alton Police Department, we believe our officers are an extension of the community. We are not separate from the people we serve. We are part of that community. They are us, and we are them. 💙

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who attended, participated, donated, volunteered, and helped make this event a success!

🇺🇸 Strengthening Partnerships for a Safer Community! 🚔

Today, Chief Perez joined the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office, Constable Lazaro "Larry" Gallardo, Jr. Pct.3, Hidalgo County District Attorney Terry Palacios, and fellow Westside Police Chiefs for a meeting with U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar, where our agencies were presented with Operation Stonegarden (OPSG) grant funding.

These critical funds allow our department to strengthen public safety efforts by providing overtime opportunities for officers, purchasing essential equipment, and serving as a force multiplier to enhance our law enforcement capabilities.

Through OPSG, we can increase patrol presence, support border security operations, and continue working alongside our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to keep our communities safe.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Congressman Henry Cuellar for his continued support of law enforcement and for helping secure these valuable resources.

We're getting ready for an exciting evening of community fun at National Night Out 2026!
