Things feeling a little topsy turvy with the realization that 2026 is suddenly 3/4 over? 🫣

Wasn't June just, like, last week? We blinked and now October is here! 🤨

Summer has ended and Autumn is in full swing. 🍂

And Mushroom Monday has been a weekly feature for THREE months now! 🤯 (How did THAT happen? 😂)

The good news is, there are still three months left to the year. Not only that, but these are some of the best months to get out for a hike - and maybe some mushroom spotting while you're at it. 🍄‍🟫

As always, we welcome you to share your nature photos with us, whether fungi or foliage or flora or fauna. 💚

Here is a free class in nearby Rochester on native gardening for those who are interested.

A very important discussion!

Speaking of turtles...! 🐢

Wait, were we speaking of turtles? 🤔 😄

I mean, we work in conservation, we definitely do discuss local wildlife concerns.

Here is some interesting information from NH Fish and Game about the critically endangered Blanding's turtle native to our ponds.

Did you know they can live up to 70 or 80 years and don't reach breeding age until as old as 20? This is one of the reasons every turtle matters. Habitat and wetland loss plus road hazards put this (and other) species in peril.
