Last week was a busy week for EMT Class-008! We dove into patient assessment, pharmacology, and airway management. We had some great instructors join is to share their wealth of knowledge and helped our students to start learning some of the new and foundational skills. They spent a class on CPR skilss, and then rounded out the weekend while learning how to take vital signs and move patients.

On to this week and the beginning of the Medical Emergencies module.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

BLAIR PA ALERT: National Weather Service Partners - Blair County and Surrounding Areas, October 16-18, 2026
An approaching cold front will bring increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms northwest-to-southeast late this morning through the evening hours.



Damaging wind gusts will be the primary hazard with thunderstorms today; however, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out across southeast Pennsylvania.


Important Changes: Slight westward expansion for the damaging wind threat this afternoon/evening. Downward trend in today's tornado threat; however, there remains a non-zero chance of an isolated tornado across SE PA later this afternoon/this evening.

BLAIR PA ALERT: National Weather Service Partners - Blair County and Surrounding Areas - Thursday, October 15, 2026





Severe thunderstorms may develop along a potent cold front that will sweep across the Commonwealth on Friday.
Damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat along the front, though an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
