A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support my shredding event this week! 🇺🇸

Together, we collected over $1,300 and a truck bed full of pet supplies for the Central PA Humane Society! Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this event such a success. ❤️🐾

The girls and I almost went home with these adorable puppies! 😂🐶 There are so many sweet dogs and cats looking for their forever homes, so be sure to check out the animals available for adoption!

Thank you for supporting our community and helping animals in need! 🐾❤️

Thank you to Blair County Head Start for a wonderful visit today! It was a joy to spend time with the children, read Pete the Cat’s Four Groovy Buttons and receive the sweetest little American flag. 🇺🇸

Preschool and early learning programs play such an important role in helping our children build a strong foundation for future success. Investing in early childhood education helps prepare our youngest learners for the classroom and beyond.

Thank you to the staff at Blair County Head Start for the important work you do every day to support our children and families throughout our community! ❤️

It was a pleasure celebrating 60 years of the Blair County Conservation District! Congratulations to District Manager Donna Fisher on an incredible 40 years of leadership and service to our community. What an amazing milestone!

It was also wonderful to hear from Pennsylvania Dairy Princess Rachel Bowman of Blair County, who shared her award-winning speech, “The Diary of a Dairy Cow.” 🐄🥛Pennsylvania Dairy Princess and Promotion Services, Inc.

Thank you to the Blair County Conservation District for your decades of dedication to our local farmers, natural resources, and the future of agriculture in Blair County!

Thank you to Penn State Altoona and Chancellor Ron Darbeau for hosting this morning’s legislative breakfast!

It was a great opportunity to discuss the important role higher education plays in our region, workforce development, and how Penn State Altoona continues to strengthen its connections with the surrounding community.

Partnerships between our colleges, employers, and local communities are essential to preparing the next generation of workers and ensuring our region continues to grow and thrive.

Thank you for the engaging conversation and for all you do to support our students and the future of Blair County!

I had the opportunity to join Senator Pat Stefano for a ride-along with Tableland Services, Inc. - Community Action Partnership for Somerset County and the Somerset County Transportation System. It was a valuable opportunity to see firsthand how shared-ride transportation connects rural Pennsylvanians with medical appointments, jobs, and other essential services.

We spoke with drivers, riders, and local leaders about the important role this service plays in helping residents maintain their independence and access the resources they need.

A special thank you to Dennis Wisor from Blair Senior Services, Inc. for riding the bus with me and sharing the Blair County perspective. Understanding the transportation needs of our communities is essential as we work to ensure these services remain accessible and reliable for the people who depend on them.

Thank you to Pennsylvania Public Transportation Association for organizing this opportunity and everyone who took the time to share their experiences and insights. Hearing directly from the people who provide and rely on these services helps us better understand the challenges facing our rural communities and how we can work together on solutions.

🗑️📄 Thank you for a great shredding event today!

A big thank you to the Altoona Curve Baseball for allowing us to use their parking lot and to Burgmeier's Hauling Altoona, PA’s providing the shredding trucks and manpower to make today’s event a success! Special thank you to our junior volunteer, Cora!

Thank you to everyone who came out, took advantage of the opportunity to securely shred their documents, and generously donated to the Central PA Humane Society. Your support makes a difference in our community and helps a great local cause! 🐾❤️

I’m grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible. It’s always great to see our community come together!

It was a pleasure to participate in Precious Life Inc.'s inaugural Prayer Breakfast!

Ellie Sheehan, Rev. Roy Steward, Danielle Haluska, former Senator John H. Eichelberger, Jr., and Larry Weaver shared heartfelt prayers and powerful testimonies. Former State Representative and Precious Life Board President Dr. John McGinnis served as emcee. Cal Wiedemann opened and closed the breakfast in prayer.

As a proud pro-life advocate, I believe every human life is precious and deserving of dignity and protection. We must continue to stand up for the most vulnerable among us, support mothers and families facing difficult circumstances, and ensure that every child has the opportunity to live and thrive.

It was inspiring to join fellow advocates in prayer and support the incredible work Precious Life does to defend the sanctity of life and provide compassionate resources to women and families in our community. Together, we can build a culture that values and protects life at every stage. 🙏❤️

My office was pleased to participate in the The Blair County Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the new location of the Independent Catholic Foundation (ICF) at 1300 Twelfth Avenue in Altoona!

Established in 1990, ICF has grown from its original mission of supporting Catholic schools in Blair and Cambria counties to managing more than 310 endowments benefiting Catholic parishes, schools, and agencies throughout Central Pennsylvania.

Thank you to ICF for the important work you do to support our local Catholic institutions and strengthen our communities. Congratulations on your new location and continued success!

I’m disappointed and saddened to see this is the reality for Altoona’s own Deleo Games and small businesses, fraternal organizations, VFWs, nonprofits and so many others in Pennsylvania. Today is the General Assembly’s deadline to regulate skill games, and even after having 120 days to do it, no substantial legislation was brought forward.

While it does not look like any real action will be taken today, the fight to regulate skill games is not over. It’s crucial we craft a balanced approach to managing these machines – one that establishes proper oversight for their use and allows skill games to remain a source of funding for organizations that have them.

Thank you to WTAJ's Andrew McBride for interviewing me on this topic.
