Resilience is built through preparation, purpose, and looking out for one another. 💪

Altus Airmen had the opportunity to hear from retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, who shared insights on combat psychology, stress management, sleep, and the importance of mental readiness both on and off duty.

Thank you to Mr. Grossman for sharing his knowledge and emphasizing the importance of equipping Airmen with the tools to adapt, recover, and remain ready for whatever challenges lie ahead.

Fueling the fight.

A KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 54th Air Refueling Squadron refuels F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 55th Fighter Squadron over South Carolina during an orientation flight with ROTC cadets from Clemson University.

🔥 Charge into Fire Safety! 🔥

Col. Christopher Jacobson, commander of the 97th Mission Support Group, signed a proclamation officially recognizing Oct. 4–10 as Fire Prevention Week at Altus Air Force Base.

This year’s theme, “Charge into Fire Safety,” focuses on the safe use and charging of lithium-ion batteries, an everyday technology that can pose serious fire risks when they are used, charged or disposed of improperly.

Throughout the week, the Altus AFB Fire Department will host events and activities designed to help our community learn more about fire prevention and safety. Come out, get involved and charge into fire safety with us! 🚒🔥
