NOTICE: PERMITTED BURN ACTIVITY NEAR TOVREA ROAD 🔥

Residents in the area of Tovrea Road may notice smoke associated with land-clearing operations for the Bayou Point Subdivision.

The City of Alvin Fire Marshal’s Office has issued a burn permit for the operation. The contractor will be using a specialized burn box system approved by the U.S. Forest Service, designed to manage debris during land-clearing activities.

A test burn is planned for this afternoon, with regular operations expected to begin tomorrow. Weather and site conditions permitting, the work is anticipated to continue for approximately two weeks.

The contractor will coordinate with the City throughout the operation and provide notification when burning begins and ends each day.

Please be aware that smoke visible in this area may be associated with this permitted activity.
