Our next Big Country Nfbt chapter meeting is next Saturday, April 13th at Mez Coffee House 3909 South 7th in Abilene. The meeting starts at 10:30 and usually ends around noon. We will plan future activities and need everyone's ideas on what they would like for our chapter to do. I

The Art Of Blindness
Stop by our table at the “art Walk” downtown on the 11th of April. The Big Country National Federation Of The Blind of Texas chapter will demonstrate Braille equipment, magnifiers, cooking aids, accessible computers along with other equipment of use to people with sight loss.

Our next Big Country Nfbt chapter meeting is this Saturday, March 9th at Mez Coffee House 3909 South 7th in Abilene. The meeting starts at 10:30 and we will have lunch at Mez ending around 1:00 Pm. We have a lot of planning to do concerning our activities at Art Walk in April as well as other items. I look forward to seeing everyone.

The next Braille class will be on June 20 from 11:00 to 12:30 PM at the Mall Public Library.
Come learn the new Ueb Braille. Beginners welcome!

I am excited to announce that we have a special invitation from Burgess
(Bird) Thomas, Curator for Fun, the Center for Contemporary Arts to attend
a special viewing of the "Please Touch" tactile art exhibition on Saturday,
June 23rd beginning at 2:00 PM.

Please feel free to invite your blind/visually-impaired friends to join us.
Bird will be there to explain the various exhibits, if we want any
explanations.

we have an exhibit opening called PLEASE TOUCH An exhibit for the visually impaired and the tactilely curious...

Opening exhibit will be Saturday, May 12th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
This special show will stay up at least through the end of July and possibly until the middle of August.

Our next chapter meeting is this Saturday the 10, 10:30 to 12:00 at Mez Coffee House 3909 South 7th.

Correction, The meeting that has been canceled is Saturday June 10th and rescheduled to July 8th 2017.

No Nfb meeting Saturday June 14. Our regular meeting will be on July 8th at Mez Coffee house which is our regular pace at 10:30 AM. If you need CityLink transportation, make reservations imediately. Hope to see you there!
