I have officially resigned from my role as Executive Director of The Arc of the Gulf Coast with my last day being February 6, 2026.

This decision comes with a full heart. I am profoundly grateful to the families who placed their trust in me, to the community that showed up time and time again with support and belief, and most of all to the self advocates - your courage, honesty, resilience, and voices have changed me forever.

Serving this mission has been more than a job; it has been a privilege and a calling. The relationships, lessons, and love I’ve experienced through this work will stay with me always. Thank you for allowing me to walk beside you and be part of something so meaningful.

Sincerely,
Melisa McNeil

There’s still time to call and demand your representatives vote NO on this bill that would hurt us all. Call NOW. 202-224-3121

Action Needed: A dangerous budget bill is moving fast. The Senate is likely voting today or tomorrow, and we need to act now! Please take 2 minutes today to contact your members of Congress: https://bit.ly/3I45yIr

The Senate's bill would cut $1 trillion from Medicaid, hurting millions of people with disabilities, families, and older adults.

- Nearly 17 million people could lose health insurance.
- States simply won’t have the money to fund the care and services that people with disabilities need.
- More people will go hungry, including millions of kids.

We must stop this!
