This purchase was made possible by securing another successful grant from Norfolk Southern. These lights will be powered by the same DeWalt batteries that we use on many other tools making everything interchangeable!

The Ambridge Fire Department has decided to create a new fun event for the kids in Ambridge during Fire Prevention Week!

There is a coloring contest that will take place from today until Oct. 24th. Winners will be picked randomly and the families will receive a Giant Eagle gift card! So here are the rules!!

1. There are two coloring pictures in each age range. Only ONE picture needs to be colored and the max age is 11. The caption of the pictures shows the age group.

2. Chose the proper age range and select one picture to color.

3. Make sure to fill out the name and contact information completely. Name of the Child, Age, Parent's cell phone number and name. This can be written on the back of the page.

4. Submit the colored picture to the firefighters on duty or email the completed picture to [email protected]

5. Deadline for submission is October 24, 2026.

6. Three random winners from each group will receive a Giant Eagle Gift Card!!

October is very near and dear to a lot of the firefighters. Breast cancer awareness month is every October and every October firefighters show their support. We change our helmet fronts and wear our breast cancer awareness t-shirts all month!

Your Ambridge Firefighters are proud supporters of breast cancer awareness and together we can all fight for a cure!

Ambridge Firefighters hosted BCRC this morning for their annual station visit! We always enjoy their company! B Shift was able to show them our rescue tools and turn out gear! We are always happy to have BCRC visit!

Thank you Rep. Rob Matzie for securing funding that gets us closer to purchasing our much needed Ladder truck that not only supports the Ambridge Borough residents, but residents of many surrounding communities!

Ambridge Fire Department is a combination department of Full-time, Part-time, and volunteer firefighters. This guarantees a response to our residents and to any other communities that request our assistance. We are 100% certified to the National Proboard Firefighter 2 level which also means our department is 100% Vehicle Rescue Technician certified.

Our ladder truck is requested on over 30 square miles of structural fire calls and is important to have the safest and most capable apparatus that can respond to this area. Our current 2008 75ft ladder truck was purchased used and was a temporary band-aid to replace a 1982 100ft ladder truck that was no longer safe to operate. Our new ladder truck will once again be a 100ft ladder truck that will allow us to operate more effectively in the Borough! We are hopeful to secure the rest of the funding through grants to make this project come to fruition.
