Dare 2B You Foundation is seeking three board members.

We are a youth empowerment nonprofit serving Central Georgia and surrounding areas. We provide mentorship, emotional support, and life skills development to young people ages 8 to 13 in a safe and inclusive environment.

Three seats are open on our Board of Directors:

Director of Youth Programming Develops and oversees youth activities, workshops, and mentorship experiences, coordinates with mentors and volunteers, and tracks participant progress against real outcomes.

Director of Safety & Youth Protection Owns our youth protection policies, verifies that every mentor, volunteer, and board member completes a background check, maintains incident reporting procedures, ensures compliance with Georgia child abuse reporting law, and identifies risk to youth and to the organization. This is the seat that protects everything else we do.

Director of Marketing & Communications Carries our voice across social media, campaigns, newsletters, press, and public communications.

I want to be direct about what this is. Our board selection process is selective, rigorous, and intentional.

A board seat here is not a line on a resume. We are looking for people who are committed, dependable, willing to learn, ready to work, and genuinely passionate about the lives of youth and families in this community.

We built a Youth Advisory Board because youth programs designed entirely by adults tend to be very well organized and slightly beside the point.

The Dare 2B You Youth Advisory Board gives young people ages 13 to 18 a working seat inside the organization. Members give honest feedback on our programs, workshops and events, help choose the topics and activities we invest in, share ideas for reaching more young people, and bring youth perspective directly to our Board of Directors.

In return they get leadership experience that stands up on a school or job application, mentorship from adults who are genuinely in their corner, and the far rarer experience of being asked their opinion by people who then act on it.

If you work with young people, in a school, a church, a district office, a community organization, you already know the ones who should be in this room. The student who asks the question nobody else will. The one already organizing something. Send them our way.
