As a Highway Technician Associate, you’ll spend your days doing a variety of tasks to make Iowa highways and interstates safer while fulfilling our Mission - Making Lives Better Through Transportation.

LOCATION: Boone Maintenance Garage. Within five (5) months, employees are required to reside within 45 minutes driving time, during normal conditions, from assigned work location.
SHIFT: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Hours may vary and the position is subject to be on call 24 hours a day during emergency and/or weather conditions. Some overnight travel may be required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
▶️Patch roadways
▶️Repair and maintain guardrails, signs, fences, lighting, culverts, and waterways
▶️Participate in traffic control for maintenance activities

▶️Operate equipment to remove snow, ice and frost from roadways
▶️Mow, cut brush, w**d and vegetation control and spraying

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
▶️Operate a mass document scanner and import documents into the imaging system, assigning accurate indexing codes.
▶️Index documents into the appropriate ERMS folders using customer information and assigned route codes.
▶️Determine whether documents should be routed or dropped based on written instructions and route codes.
▶️Review and correct poor-quality scans prior to storage to ensure clear and accurate images.
