Better late than never! I had the most wonderful Mother's Day with my Coco! We tried Mac Daddies Amesbury for the first time, and I think we have found our new favorite spot 🤗🤗 You'll notice in the second photo, someone completely in awe of her tendies.

They also hooked all the mom's up with half off their order, which was such a thoughtful thing to do, and a nice surprise! Especially for those of us moms paying for our own lunch 😆

So glad to see this addition to the downtown!

Beautiful weather last weekend to celebrate earth day and clean up Heritage Park! The city's Energy Manager DJ did a wonderful job organizing along with the Energy and Environmental Committee. And of course I brought some of the best helpers from district 3 ☺️

If you saw me sprawled out across the steps of city hall last night, trying to get a selfie with the ADA compliant District 3 Specimen Ballot.... that's because I was! 😆

This past Sunday, Jr. D3 City Councilor and I spent the morning alongside some really amazing people at the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center’s Annual Walk for Domestic Violence in Newburyport.

A few weeks ago, I spoke at a City Council meeting about how financial independence was impacting women and families in our community. I shared how, when I was little, my mom brought me to the Jean Geiger Crisis Center to donate various items. She always used to tell me that "some kids don't go home to love". 💔 and I try to remind the Jr. Councilor of that frequently. I usually have the worst timing, but when I recieved an email from the center notifying me of the event last week, it was kind of meant to be! 🔮

Though explaining to a 7 year old (especially MY 7 year old) why we’re walking for something like this is… challanging. But it's important. So I did my best with the Kid’s Bop version, and we left knowing that “love shouldn’t hurt” 💜 Just our legs after all that walking!

The last photo was right after Coco said: "Mom, we should just leave the police sign in our car, and if we ever get pulled over, I'll just hold it up like this and we'll be fineeee" 😆

So incredibly thankful for people like Phil in my life — mentors who get me, encourage me, bring chicken Caesar wraps to my work, and remind me why community work is so worth it 🥹💛
