Dear Umass Community,
The Commision on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) will be conducting its annual review of the Umass Police Departments written directives and overall practices in September of this year. CALEA maintains a public access portal that allows for comments with regard to candidate agencies seeking initial accreditation or reaccreditation status. The link for this portal can be found on the CALEA corporate website (www.calea.org) or https://cimrs2.calea.org/112 . This portal is to provide members of the community an opportunity for comments, commendations, and other information regarding the agency’s quality of service or other information relevant to the accreditation process.
