Amherst Community Connections wants to thank the Amherst College student club, "Voices of Equity Amherst College," for raising over $1,000 to help community members in Western Mass to get the transportation they need to go to the doctor's, to work, to buy groceries and to their house of worship.

The club kindly shared an official statement: "This initiative was born out of our conversation with our community partner (ACC) that reminded us how something as simple as transportation can determine whether someone receives care or not. As a student club, we wanted to respond in a way that was direct, and rooted in community support. Every contribution became part of helping someone get close to care. We appreciate the Amherst College community for coming together to support this cause."
