Eastern Idaho is already experiencing extremely dry conditions this season, and it only takes one spark to start a fast-moving wildfire. As temperatures rise and fuels continue to dry out, now is the time to be extra cautious with all outdoor burning.

Never leave a fire unattended, and make sure it is completely extinguished — drown it, stir it, and repeat until it’s cold to the touch.

Don’t underestimate the power of a single match. Help protect our communities, farms, rangeland, and firefighters this fire season.

Bonneville County Fire District #1 – Ammon Division is currently accepting applications for our Resident Firefighter Program.

This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fire service while serving your community alongside dedicated professionals.

• Training and skill development

• Mentorship from career firefighters
