💙 THANK YOU TO OUR ASSISTING AGENCIES 💙

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all of the agencies and personnel who assisted in the effort to locate Christopher Kepler.

A special thank-you to Granite County and the United States Marshals Service for their invaluable assistance, including the use of their K9 teams. 🐕‍🦺

We would also like to thank the United States Forest Service for their assistance and support during the search.

Tonight also marked an important first for the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Police Department, as we deployed our department drone to assist in the search and locating efforts. We are proud to have another tool available to help our officers and partner agencies during critical incidents.

This search was a true example of interagency cooperation and teamwork. We are incredibly grateful to every agency, officer, deputy, agent, and personnel member who answered the call and contributed their time, resources, and expertise.

We are currently attempting to locate an individual who has walked away from a group home at Montana State Hospital.

Name: Christopher Michael Kepler
Age: 54
Description: 5’8”, 160lbs, long black hair, recently shaved face.
Clothing: UNKNOWN

If you see Christopher, DO NOT ENGAGE, APPROACH, OR ATTEMPT TO DETAIN HIM.

Please maintain a safe distance and immediately contact your local law enforcement agency or call 911 with his location and direction of travel.

Please do not attempt to intervene or follow him yourself.

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — We Remember.

Today, we remember the lives forever changed on September 11, 2001, and we honor the extraordinary courage shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, and other first responders who ran toward danger while others were desperately trying to escape it. They answered the call without knowing what awaited them, and many made the ultimate sacrifice. We especially remember the 343 firefighters and 23 NYPD officers who lost their lives that day, along with every first responder who gave everything trying to save others.

As a 911 community, we also remember the dispatchers and call-takers on the other end of those lines.

The voices that answered terrified callers.
The voices that gathered information amid chaos.
The voices that sent help into buildings they knew were becoming increasingly dangerous.
The voices that stayed with people when there was nothing else they could do but listen, reassure, and keep the line open.

Behind every emergency response is someone answering the phone. On September 11, those dispatchers carried an unimaginable burden, handling call after call while the world around them was changing forever.

And above all, we remember the thousands of innocent people who never made it home — the people in the Twin Towers, at the Pentagon, aboard Flight 93, and the countless families, friends, and communities left behind.

Today isn’t simply about remembering where we were.

It’s about remembering who we lost, who answered the call, who ran toward the danger, and who never stopped trying to save another life.

May we never forget their courage.
May we never forget their sacrifice.
May we never forget the victims and the families who carry their absence every day.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸🖤

There was a set of keys that were brought up to the police dept. that were found at echo lake. If you believe these are yours, either call dispatch at (406)563-5241 ext 0 or come into the department and speak to dispatch, identify the keys and if they are yours we will return them to you!

We are aware of the power outages. North western energy is looking into the source and they do not have an update on when the power will be back up at this time.

A set of keys was turned in after being found at 5th Street and Locust.

If you believe they may be yours, please contact the ADLC Dispatch Center and be prepared to describe the keys (keychain, number of keys, or any identifying features) to claim them.
