Christmas is starting to take over Compass Pregnancy Center.

We have already got lots and lots of Christmas jammies, some really cute toys, and even more on the way for our Baby Blessing Bags.

Every year, we try to make these bags feel special for our Earn While You Learn families, not just useful, but something fun to open too.

We are still collecting donations, and we can always use:
- Pampers or Huggies diapers
- New toys
- Christmas pajamas
- Coats for little ones
- Baby and toddler items
- Monetary donations so we can fill in the gaps

We are already building a good start, but the more our community helps, the more we can bless these families at Christmas.

If you would like to donate, message us or contact Compass.

Summer and Lance have been putting in the work.

They have been coming to Compass Pregnancy Center, taking classes, learning, and earning Baby Bucks along the way.

After just 3 visits, they had earned enough for a brand-new bassinet for their baby, and still had Baby Bucks left for diapers and other supplies.

That is what we love about Earn While You Learn.

You are not just sitting through a class. You are learning things that can help your family, earning rewards, and turning that time into real items you will actually use.

We are proud of Summer and Lance for showing up and preparing for their baby together.

Want to learn how Baby Bucks and Daddy Dollars work? Call or text us and we’ll help you get started.

Every year, one of our favorite Christmas traditions at Compass Pregnancy Center is putting together Baby Blessing Bags for our Earn While You Learn families.

These are not just little gift bags. We try to make them something families are genuinely excited to receive.

Each bag will include at least:
- A sleeve of Pampers or Huggies diapers
- A handmade quilt
- A new outfit
- Christmas pajamas
- A toy
- A coat for children 12 months and older

And as donations come in, we usually add even more. We also love putting together something special for Mom when we can.

Now we need our community’s help.

If you would like to help us fill these bags, we are accepting donations of new baby and toddler items, toys, Christmas pajamas, coats, and Pampers or Huggies diapers only.

Every donated item goes straight toward making Christmas a little sweeter for a Compass family.

You can also give financially and let us do the shopping for you.

If you would like to help, message us or contact Compass and we will tell you what we need most right now.

And for our clients: if you want to receive a Baby Blessing Bag, make sure you are enrolled and actively participating in Earn While You Learn by November 16.

Free baby pictures? Yes, really.

For babies 6 months and under, established Compass Pregnancy Center clients can schedule a free baby photo session by appointment.

We even have outfits available in 0-3 month sizes, and you can take a class, earn Baby Bucks, and pick out something new for your baby to wear in the pictures.

Not a client yet? That is okay. You can get started with Compass and learn how our classes, Baby Bucks, and other free services work.

These little stages go fast. Let us help you capture one of them.

Call or text us to ask about appointments.

Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, and at 7:00 PM families around the world will take part in the International Wave of Light by lighting a candle in memory of babies who were deeply loved and deeply missed.

Because October is also Infant Loss Awareness Month, we want to talk about something practical: safe sleep.

Over the course of my years at Compass, we have attended five funerals for babies in tiny caskets. Five. We do not ever want to attend another one.

Safe sleep matters. Put the baby on their back. Use a firm, flat, empty sleep space. Keep the crib or bassinet in your room, but not in your bed. Avoid loose blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, bumpers, and other soft items in the sleep space.

We have a class at Compass Pregnancy Center that goes deeper into safe sleep, SIDS, and ways parents can reduce risk. If you are expecting, have a newborn, or care for an infant, please take it.

Sometimes prevention starts with one conversation, one class, and one thing learned at the right time.

And tonight at 7:00 PM, we’ll remember the little lives that left too soon.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and we want to take a minute to say thank you.

Pastors do so much that most people never see: praying, counseling, encouraging, showing up in hard moments, serving families, and carrying the weight of ministry week after week.

We are grateful for the pastors in our community who love people well and continue to support families, churches, and ministries like Compass Pregnancy Center.

Help us show them some love.

Share this video and tag your pastor in the comments so they know they are appreciated.

Pastors, thank you for what you do.

Compass Pregnancy Center is closed today, Monday, October 12th, in observance of Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

Here in Anadarko, many offices are closed today, including seven tribal complexes, local banks, and the post office.

We will reopen Tuesday, October 13th and be ready to serve as usual.

Almost half.

In Oklahoma, 47.7% of child maltreatment victims in 2022 were children younger than six years old.

Parenting can be exhausting. Lack of sleep, financial stress, isolation, relationship problems, and simply not knowing what to do next can make hard seasons even harder.

Compass Pregnancy Center cannot promise that support alone prevents child abuse. But we do believe early support matters.

When parents have someone to call, practical resources, parenting education, encouragement, and people willing to walk beside them, they are better equipped to handle the pressures that come with raising children.

That is one reason our free parenting classes and ongoing support are so important to us. You do not have to be struggling, court ordered, or in crisis to use them. Sometimes asking for help before things become overwhelming is one of the best things a parent can do.

If you want to strengthen your parenting skills or simply want someone in your corner, reach out to Compass.

October is Infant Loss Awareness Month.

For many families, pregnancy and infant loss is a grief carried quietly. There may be no words that make it easier, but there can still be compassion, prayer, and support.

This month, we remember every precious life and the mothers, fathers, grandparents, and families who carry that loss with them.

If this is part of your story, you are welcome at Compass Pregnancy Center. We are here to listen, pray with you, and support you with care and respect.

Every life matters. Every family matters.

Pregnancy puts extra demands on your body, and that is one reason prenatal vitamins matter so much.

Ideally, a woman would begin taking a prenatal vitamin about 3 months before becoming pregnant. But if you are already pregnant and have not started yet, do not panic, starting as soon as you know you are pregnant is important.

Prenatal vitamins help provide nutrients your body and growing baby need during pregnancy, including folic acid, iron, and other essential vitamins and minerals.

Quick tip: if prenatal vitamins make you sick in the morning, try taking them in the evening or whenever you eat your largest meal of the day.

At Compass Pregnancy Center, eligible clients can receive a FREE 6-month supply of prenatal vitamins through Vitamin Angels.

No insurance needed. No cost.

If you are pregnant, or think you might be, come see us. We can help you with pregnancy testing, resources, support, and getting started with prenatal vitamins.
