Today’s reminder is all about school absences during CCYPS. 🎒

📌 The CCYPS Office does NOT provide or obtain absence excuses for exhibitors.

If an exhibitor will miss school while participating in CCYPS and needs information regarding an excused absence, the exhibitor and their parent/guardian should contact their 4-H or FFA advisor for guidance.

Requirements and procedures may vary, so don’t wait until show week to ask!

✅ Talk to your advisor.
✅ Know your school’s requirements.
✅ Make arrangements ahead of time.

A little planning now can make show week a whole lot easier!

Now is a great time to make sure you have your required paperwork ready! Exhibitor Agreements are required for ALL exhibitors, along with any project-specific forms. An Off-Premises Form is also required for animals not kept at the exhibitor’s home.

📋 Forms are available on the CCYPS website or through FairEntry.

📅 SAVE THE DATE: Mandatory cattle tag-in will be held Saturday, November 14 at White’s Park.

Two weeks until entries open — show season will be here before we know it! 🐮🌱

If you’re planning to exhibit a livestock project at the 2027 Chambers County Youth Project Show, now is the time to get familiar with the rules!

Exhibitors AND their parent(s) or guardian(s) are responsible for knowing and following the CCYPS General Rules & Regulations, Livestock Division Regulations, and all requirements specific to their project.

⚖️ Weigh-ins and check-ins
📣 Mandatory meetings
✅ Project-specific requirements

Don’t rely on a reminder to keep you on track! CCYPS and our Livestock Committees work hard to communicate important dates, but exhibitors are ultimately responsible for meeting all published deadlines and requirements — whether or not a reminder is received.

🌱📖 KNOW BEFORE YOU SHOW MONDAY!

Did you know that kids of all ages can participate in CCYPS? There’s a place for our littlest exhibitors all the way up to our graduating seniors!

Here’s when they can get started:

🎨 Exhibit Hall — Pre-K and up

🐰🐔🐑🐐🐷 Small Animals — 5 years old and up
Rabbits • Poultry • Lambs • Goats • Swine

🐮 Large Animals — 8 years old and up
Cattle

So if you’ve got a little one who is already asking, “When can I show?” — the answer might be right now! 🙌

Start them in the Exhibit Hall, move into small animals when they’re old enough, and before you know it, they’ll be headed to the cattle barn. 💚

Please take the time to read the Rulebook carefully!

All exhibitors are subject to the CCYPS General Rules & Regulations AND the Livestock Division Regulations. Exhibitors and their parent(s) or guardian(s) are responsible for reading, understanding and following all rules and requirements that apply to their project and participation in the Show.

📅 Know your deadlines. Know your requirements. Mark your calendars.

Exhibitors are responsible for attending all required activities and meeting all applicable deadlines, including mandatory meetings, tag-ins, validations, weigh-ins, check-ins and any other requirements established by CCYPS or the applicable Livestock Committee.

⚠️ Remember: A reminder is a courtesy — not a requirement. Failure to receive a reminder, notice, text, email or other communication does not excuse an exhibitor from meeting a published deadline or attendance requirement.

We encourage exhibitors and families to review the Rulebook now and keep it handy throughout the 2027 show year.

📣 2026 CCYPS BUYER PAYMENT UPDATE

We are now approximately 90 days past the date that initial buyer invoices for the 2026 Chambers County Youth Project Show were mailed, and we are continuing to work to collect the remaining outstanding balances.

Buyers with unpaid balances have received multiple mailed notices, and most have also been contacted by email, text and/or phone.

If you still have an outstanding invoice, please submit your payment as soon as possible or contact the CCYPS Office to make payment arrangements. At this point, we need your help getting these remaining accounts resolved.

As we continue through the collection process, accounts that remain unpaid and for which no arrangements have been made may be referred to the Chambers County Attorney’s Office for collection.

If you have not received an invoice, believe you have already paid, or are unsure whether your payment was received or properly applied, please contact the CCYPS Office so we can review your account.

💚 We are incredibly thankful for the overwhelming majority of our buyers who have already fulfilled their commitments and for everyone who continues to support our CCYPS exhibitors.

If you have an outstanding 2026 invoice, please take care of it today.

📣 2026 CCYPS BUYER INVOICES — PAYMENT REMINDER

We are continuing to work toward collecting all outstanding buyer balances from the 2026 Chambers County Youth Project Show.

Third-notice invoices have been mailed, and most buyers with outstanding balances have also been contacted by email, text and/or phone.

If you have an outstanding invoice, please help us get these accounts closed out by submitting your payment as soon as possible. If you need to make payment arrangements, please contact the CCYPS Office.

As we continue through the collection process, buyers who do not pay their outstanding invoices or make arrangements with our office may ultimately be referred to the Chambers County Attorney’s Office for collection.

If you did not receive an invoice, believe you have already paid, or aren't sure whether your payment was received, please contact us. We are happy to check the status of your account.

💚 We sincerely appreciate our CCYPS buyers and their support of our youth exhibitors. The overwhelming majority of our buyers have already fulfilled their commitments, and we are working to get the remaining accounts resolved so we can fully close out the 2026 show.

Calling all 2026 CCYPS Large and Small Animal Scramble participants! 🐮🐷🐑

Our mandatory Scramble Participant Meeting is just ONE WEEK away!

Scramble participants AND a parent or guardian are required to attend.

During the meeting, we will review participant responsibilities and requirements, distribute first checks, go over monthly progress reports and record book expectations, and answer questions about the year ahead.

🌱 This meeting is an important first step in completing your Scramble project and preparing for the 2027 Chambers County Youth Project Show!
