Chambers County Emergency Services Emergency Services Emergency Services

Emergency Services is a multifaceted agency dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community.
(1)

Comprising four vital divisions – Field Operations Support, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Emergency Management, and Fire Marshal – we are at the forefront of safeguarding lives and property during various emergencies and crises. Emergency Management
This division focuses on comprehensive disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. We work tirelessly to develop and implement emergency plans, coordinate responses during crises like natural disasters or public health emergencies, and ensure our community is well-prepared to face any situation. Emergency Medical Services
Our Emergency Medical Services (EMS) division is staffed by highly trained paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians who respond to medical emergencies with speed and expertise. Whether it's a heart attack, accident, or any critical medical situation, our EMS professionals provide immediate care, transportation to hospitals, and play a pivotal role in saving lives. Field Operations Support
Provides vital emergency and non-emergency support for Emergency Services and other county response agencies. Services include countywide radiocommunications, emergency vehicle lighting and equipment, and other technological aspects of day-to-day equipment first responders rely on to do their jobs. Field Ops also provides emergency response support when needed and assists with logistical support for on-scene operations. Fire Marshal
The Fire Marshal division is responsible for fire prevention, code enforcement, and investigation. By conducting safety inspections, enforcing fire codes, and investigating the causes of fires, our fire marshals play a crucial role in reducing the risk of fires and ensuring that buildings and public spaces are safe. Together, these divisions collaborate seamlessly to provide a robust and coordinated approach to emergency services. We are committed to protecting lives and property, promoting safety, and enhancing overall community resilience in the face of various challenges. Your safety is our priority, and we are here to serve you. Safety
Coordinates workplace and first-responder safety programs for all County employees. Tracks employee accidents and injuries and provides feedback regarding trends. Responsibilities include accident investigation and first response support as necessary. Safety also performs site safety surveys and provides recommendations for improvement of county facilities and worksites.

🚨 SPAM CALL ALERT – PLEASE BE AWARE! 📱

Chambers County Emergency Services has been made aware that some of our department phone numbers are being spoofed.

This means someone may be using technology to make it appear as though a call is coming from one of our official phone numbers, even though it is not.

We have received reports of calls where the phone simply disconnects when answered.

⚠️ What should you do?
✅ Be cautious of unexpected calls, even if the caller ID appears legitimate.
✅ Never provide personal or sensitive information to an unknown caller.
✅ If you are unsure whether a call is legitimate, hang up and call our department directly using a verified phone number.

Please remember: Just because a familiar number appears on your caller ID does not mean the call is actually coming from that number.

We appreciate your understanding and encourage everyone to stay alert!

Outdoor Warning Siren Growl Test Today 🔊

Today at 4:00 PM, Chambers County will conduct a growl test of the county’s outdoor warning sirens.

During this test, you may still hear the siren. This is a routine system check to help ensure the sirens remain operational and ready for use during emergencies.

Outdoor warning sirens are designed to alert people who are outdoors of imminent hazards, such as:
🌪️ Tornado Warnings
☣️ Certain hazardous materials incidents

Remember, outdoor warning sirens are not intended to be heard indoors. Always have multiple ways to receive emergency information.

📱 Be sure you’re signed up for ChambersWarns to receive official emergency alerts and important notifications.
