Individuals with Medicare Advantage plans than have been canceled for 2027 are eligible for a "guarantee issue right". That means they are guaranteed acceptance into a Medicare Supplement (aka Medigap) plan without going through underwriting.

Volunteers are needed for an upcoming Jones County emergency drill on Monday, October 26, from 4–7:30 p.m. Volunteers will act as patients involved in the scenario. The drill will begin at Jones Regional Medical Center.

Adults and teens are welcome to participate. This is a great opportunity for students to earn Silver Service hours while helping our emergency teams gain valuable hands-on training and experience.

Through programs like Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) and Medical Transportation Program, we help connect community members with trusted information, resources, and support.
