Payments must be in the Treasurer’s Office or drop box by 4:30 p.m. today, postmarked today (please ask the post office to hand-stamp your envelope), or paid online before 11:59 p.m. tonight.

Please remember that postmark dates are strictly enforced. If you wait until September 30 to mail your payment, we recommend taking it inside the post office and asking that your envelope be hand-postmarked.

Mail dropped in a collection box may not receive a postmark until it reaches a processing center, which could be the following day.

The September 2026 property tax installment is due Wednesday, September 30. To avoid a penalty, choose the payment option that works best for you:

* In person: Pay at our office by 4:30 p.m. on September 30th.
* Drop box: Deposit your payment by 4:30 p.m. on September 30th.
* Online: Pay at iowatreasurers.org by 11:59 p.m. on September 30th.
* By phone: Call our office to pay by 4:30 p.m. on September 30th. A service delivery fee applies.
