Some of the team was at STEM night at Rogers Park Elementary last night. The kids had a lot of great question for the team.

We look forward to seeing you at our 10 Year Anniversary, YOU are the true hero! Your support is the backbone of our mission, only through your support have we been able to bring the missing home throughout Alaska.

The event starts at 10:30 AM tomorrow (Saturday), we will be grilling for you from 10:30 -1:30 and them we will be doing a presentation / Slide Show and spending time just visiting with you.

Some of the team departed for a mud rescue mission this morning but thankfully they were rescued before we arrived. Here is for a quiet day tomorrow for the event.

We have purchased a lot of food for this event, so come join us Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm at 5848 E. Tutor Rd for the celebration of our 10 Year Anniversary! (No team funds we used to purchase anything for the event, this our gift to you and we will be doing the cooking)

We are celebrating what we (you our donors/ supportors and the team) have accomplished these ten years. You make this team possible!

You are our heroes because every life saved, missing person recovered or criminal put behind bars because of evidence found, would not have happened without your help. Especially when it comes to being able to bring closure to a family, friend or community throughout Alaska. You make this possible.

Our only river boat is currently in the shop awaiting some engine parts and repairs. So it sounds like it will be out of commission until the end of the month.

So in the mean time, if a mission comes up on a river we will be looking for a workaround. Since we respond throughout the state upon request from Anchorage, are currently looking at options so we can be ready to deploy as soon as we get the call, until we have our river boat back. .

We are so excited to see everyone this Saturday as we celebrate 10 years of Alaska Dive Search Rescue & Recovery! Thank you to everyone who has let us know they’ll be joining us. This celebration is about YOU and the support that allows us to bring missing loved ones home to their families, friends, and communities. We couldn’t do this without you!

A few quick things to know: We’ll have lots happening outside, so please dress for the weather! Food will be available from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, along with opportunities to check out our equipment, vehicles, and vessels, ask questions, and possibly watch a few demonstrations if the weather cooperates. After 1:30, we’ll head indoors for a slideshow (fingers crossed we get it finished in time!), stories about our team, how far we’ve come, and our vision for the future.

Want to bring something? We’d love desserts to share because there’s always room for something sweet! We’re busy getting everything ready and can’t wait to spend the day visiting, sharing, and celebrating this incredible milestone with all of you.

Thank you for being part of our first 10 years. We can’t wait to see you Saturday!

Come help us Celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary Event!

You are the reason we have been able to continue our mission to bring the missing home to their family, friends and communities around the state.

Join us for food and fun on Saturday the 17th at 5848 E. Tutor Rd in Anchorage, between 10 AM and 4 PM in Anchorage. The entrance to the building is on the Tutor side of the building and the building is behind a fenced in area. If the gate is closed we can let you in.

Please let us know before Tuesday October 13th, if you are planning on attending and how many people are coming with you, so we can finalize logistics and food for Saturday.

We are planning on grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. for the event. We also hope to have games, displays and a slide show of how the team has progressed over the years.

Last night some of our Team Members represented us at the Mayor’s Ball. Even though it is definitely not our kind of event, I think we were able to shed some light on our mission and what we do around the state to bring the missing home to their family, friends and communities.

Thank you to our lady team members for bringing class to our table, we guys could have never pulled off PFDs and formal wear. All of the women on our team are vital members of the team, they work hard and don't mind getting their hands dirty. They are caring and bring critical skills and abilities to the team, we would not have without them. So yes, they can bring class to the table at formal events but they so much more, they are critical team members.

Below is the video that was shown at the charity event.

Please know we do not get involved with politics. We were assured the event though carrying the title the Mayor’s Ball, has nothing to do with who is in the position and those chosen Non Profits are drawn out of a hat at random.

We are very firm believers in: “You do the right thing because it is the right thing to do, not because of what you think it may get you in the future.”
