American Legion Post 29 Anchorage Ak

10/21/2026

It was an honor to have our National Commander Jay Bowen travel to Alaska and visit our very own Post 29. His words of wisdom and encouragement were truly inspirational. His presence at Post 29 was every bit of amazing. Thank you for your service and commitment to our veterans. We had a Meet & Greet with representatives from Post 1, 21, 28, 33, 34, 35 and 99.

Tonight Post 29 ‘stole’ the Official Alaskan Chickensh—Plaque from Post 33. It’s one of these camaraderie things that has been going on for 32+ years that started in Seward. The rules include, you need 15 current members present, you can’t steal it for 30 days since the last time it was ‘stolen’. We are sneaky and proud as a punch!
