What families need to know:

• Families are notified by 5:30 a.m. if there’s a delay or closure.
• Updates are shared by email, text, the ASD app, social media and local media partners.
• Check for a red banner at https://www.asdk12.org. A banner means there’s a schedule change. No banner means school is on time.

🧡 Indigenous Peoples Day

Today, we honor and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, traditions and contributions of Indigenous Peoples.

Here in Alaska, Indigenous knowledge, traditions and connections to the land are an important part of the communities we serve and the story of our state.

Today is an opportunity to learn, listen, reflect and celebrate the people and cultures that make our communities stronger.

There is no school for students or staff today, Monday, October 12.

🧡 We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn from and alongside Indigenous communities.

🍽️ TEXAS ROADHOUSE FUNDRAISER — TUESDAY, OCT. 13! Join us from 4–9 PM at the South Side location and help support our Wendler PTA! Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of qualifying food purchases when you mention the fundraiser or present the flyer. 🥖❤️

🎶 MUSIC CONCERT & SILENT AUCTION — THURSDAY, OCT. 22! Join us at 6:30 PM to celebrate our Band, Choir, and Orchestra! We’re also seeking silent auction donations to support our music department. Donations and forms are due October 13. Check out the flyer for details! 🎻🎁
