180 Days of Discovery... Where in the World are Dr. Arroyo and Mrs. Guthrie?

This year, our NPES Explorers get a new clue during Library each week. After 4 clues, students guess Dr. Arroyo and Mrs. Guthrie's destination!

These sweet first graders in Ms. V's class won their Reading Race! They each read AND responded to 23 books at home with their grown ups! We are so proud of them! The class said they want to race again! Way to go!

Check out 2nd grade music centers today! 🎶

Students rotated through centers where they matched rhythms on the interactive board, worked through rhythm stick challenges, and created body percussion patterns while practicing strong and weak beats in different meters. They did a great job today! We love that Mrs. Webb is inspiring the love of music in our rams!

Take a look at the social studies and science going on at NPES today! 1st grade did a compliment web for social studies to show how civic dispositions (being kind and respectful to one another aka giving compliments) help people with different backgrounds and beliefs work together towards a common goal! What a great way to teach civics to 1st graders! 3rd graders built structures to withstand an earthquake! Earthquake Arroyo and Guthrie came by to test their structures out! 🙌🏻
