Anderson County Council proudly recognizes National Hunter Syndrome Awareness Week, raising awareness of this rare genetic disorder and the importance of early diagnosis, treatment, and research.

At the heart of this recognition are Hannah Burgess and her four-year-old son, John Taylor Burgess. Their journey reminds us that behind every diagnosis is a child, a family, and a story that deserves to be heard.

💙 We stand with the Burgess family and all those affected by Hunter syndrome, offering love, support, and hope for a brighter future.

Sharing important dates for the upcoming November 3rd elections.

Make your plan to vote in the November 3 General Election. South Carolina voters have three options:

➡️ Early voting: Vote in person October 19–31, Monday–Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Early voting centers are closed Sunday, October 25.
➡️ Absentee voting: Qualified voters can apply for an absentee ballot through Friday, October 23 at 5 p.m. Completed ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on November 3.
➡️ Election Day: Polls are open Tuesday, November 3 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Anyone in line at 7 p.m. can vote.

🌧️💨 Rain or Shine… We Earned Our Wings! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️✈️

The 3rd Annual Earn Your Wings 5K and One-Mile Run was certainly one to remember!

Despite powerful winds, sideways rain, and some wild weather, our runners and walkers showed up with determination, enthusiasm, and plenty of smiles! 💪☔

The weather may not have cooperated, but the community spirit was stronger than ever! From start to finish, participants proved that a little rain (or a LOT!) couldn't dampen the fun.

👏 A BIG thank-you to everyone who braved the elements, cheered on participants, and helped make this year's event memorable!

Rain or shine, Anderson County knows how to have a great time! ❤️
