Valley Grove Elementary School Valley Grove Elementary School is an exciting place for students in grades K through grade 5. "Never Settle For Less Than Your Best!"

Hispanic Heritage Month reading can be so much more than just reading a passage and answering questions.

Read about papel picado... then create your own.

Read about cacao and the history of chocolate... then have a chocolate taste test.

Read about pico de gallo... then make some and try it.

Read about Día de los Mu***os... then learn about the importance of marigolds and make your own.

Students are practicing reading comprehension and finding text evidence, but they’re also learning about the foods, art, traditions, history, and people that are an important part of Hispanic heritage.

Because giving our students opportunities to learn about and appreciate different cultures matters.

READ IT... THEN DO IT!
