❤️🍎 GREAT TEACHERS MAKE A LASTING IMPACT! 🍎❤️

A little extra love for a teacher who has spent her career making a difference in McDonald County classrooms! ❤️🙌

McDonald County High School Government teacher Amy Dudley is this year’s recipient of the Arvest Bank We ♥ Teachers award for McDonald County Schools! 🎉

Amy has dedicated her entire teaching career to McDonald County students, spending most of those years at the high school helping students understand government, explore history, and make connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them. 🇺🇸📚

And she’s already planning how to make learning even better! Amy will use her $500 award to purchase an interactive display for her classroom, giving students more hands-on opportunities to explore government and bring lessons to life. 💡👏

A huge THANK-YOU to our friends at Arvest Bank for recognizing Amy’s dedication and investing in our teachers and students. And Amy, thank you for all you do to make a difference every day!

❤️ Here’s to great teachers, inspired students, and learning that lasts a lifetime!

🎨❤️ CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION! ❤️🎨

Congratulations to Holly Huber, White Rock Elementary art teacher, on being named the recipient of the 2026 McDonald County Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Education Award! 🏆 Holly received this well-deserved honor at the Chamber’s annual banquet this past weekend.

A proud McDonald County High School graduate, Holly returned home to make a difference in the lives of students, beginning her career with McDonald County Schools in 2005. For 21 years, she has done far more than teach art. She has inspired students to believe in themselves, embrace their creativity, and understand that their ideas matter. ❤️

From the artwork covering White Rock’s hallways to the homecoming float, school programs, and family events, Holly is always finding ways to make her school a special place. She puts her creativity and heart into everything she does, and her impact can be seen throughout the school and felt across the community.

This latest honor adds to an impressive list of accomplishments, including being named McDonald County Schools’ 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year! But perhaps the most meaningful testament to her influence is a former student’s tattoo that reads, “Be someone’s Ms. Huber.” What a powerful reminder of the lasting difference one educator can make. 🥹❤️

Holly, thank you for sharing your talents, your heart, and your passion with generations of students. You remind us that education is about so much more than what happens in a classroom. It’s about inspiring others, building confidence, and making a difference that lasts a lifetime.

Congratulations, Holly! McDonald County Schools is proud of you! 👏🎉

🚌 A safe ride, clear expectations, and connections that matter!

Help us celebrate Ernie Meredith of White Rock Elementary, our October Bus Driver of the Month! 🎉

For the past five years, Ernie has helped get students to and from White Rock, the high school, and Crowder College, while building positive relationships with children and their families.

White Rock Principal Beth Holland says Ernie sets high expectations for students, communicates with parents, and earns the respect of the students he serves.
District leaders surprised Ernie before he started his bus route, presenting him with a gift card and a framed copy of his award. 👏

Because a bus ride is about more than getting from point A to point B. It's about creating a safe, positive environment where students know what is expected of them and know someone cares.

Thank you, Ernie, for the important role you play in our students' days and for keeping them moving in the right direction! ❤️🖤

❤️ Big hearts make a BIG difference!

Join us in congratulating Heather Brody, our October Staff Member of the Month! 👏

As McDonald County Schools' Early Childhood Special Education Coordinator, Heather helps our youngest learners get the support they need to grow, learn, and thrive. With 11 years of service to our district, she brings knowledge, compassion, and a genuine commitment to every child and family she serves.

Heather works closely with teachers, therapists, and families to create individualized plans that put each child's needs first. She also provides reassurance and guidance to families, helping them navigate the early childhood special education process with confidence and care.

District leaders surprised Heather at her office with flowers, a gift card, and a framed copy of her award. 💐

Her leadership, positivity, and dedication make a lasting difference for children and the people who support them.

Thank you, Heather, for helping our youngest learners build a strong foundation for the future! ❤️🖤

🍎 She teaches, she leads, she shows up, and she makes a difference!

Congratulations to Tina Castleman of White Rock Elementary, our October Teacher of the Month! ❤️🖤

Tina goes far beyond the classroom to make school a place where students feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn. She leads after-school robotics and coding four days a week, cheers on students at sporting events, volunteers at school activities, and finds countless creative ways to make learning fun.

From parades to PTO carnivals, Tina is always ready to jump in wherever she's needed. And if there's a costume involved, she's probably already got one! 🎭

District leaders surprised Tina in her classroom with a bouquet of flowers, a gift card, and a framed copy of her award. 💐

Her dedication reminds us that great teachers do more than teach lessons. They build relationships, create memories, and help students know they matter.

Thank you, Tina, for all the ways you go above and beyond for White Rock students and families! You make a difference every day! 👏

🧬 They’re building cells, one LEGO and clay creation at a time! 🔬

Sixth graders at Southwest City Elementary recently took their study of plant and animal cells from the textbook to the worktable, building their own models with clay and LEGOs!

🧱🎨 By creating these hands-on models, students could see how cells are organized, identify their parts, and explore what makes plant and animal cells alike and different. Building the models helped turn complex science concepts into something they could see, touch, and better understand.

That’s the power of hands-on learning! When students get to build, explore, and discover for themselves, they’re not just memorizing facts. They’re building understanding that sticks!

Way to go, sixth graders! Keep creating, questioning, and discovering how amazing science can be! 👏🔬

🔢 Math you can touch, poke, and learn! 🎨

Third graders in Ms. Capp’s class at Noel Elementary School are making multiplication more hands-on with a little help from Play-Doh and their pencils!

Students poked holes in the Play-Doh to create arrays, which are objects arranged in neat rows and columns. By building these patterns, they can see how multiplication works. For example, 3 rows with 4 holes in each row make 12 altogether. That’s 3 × 4 = 12! 🙌

When students can see it, build it, and touch it, math starts to make more sense!

🔢 Big math skills start with little learners! ❤️🖤

At Pineville Primary, our 1st graders are building their addition skills one block at a time! 🧱➕

By placing colorful blocks in squares on a number grid, students are learning to put numbers together and add sums up to 10. It’s a hands-on way to make math fun, build number sense, and turn abstract numbers into something they can see and touch!

Because when learning is this engaging, those little numbers can add up to BIG things! 🎉
