The Anderson County Sheriff's Office will be hosting a hiring event on November 12, 2026 at Anderson SC Works located at 1428 Pearman Dairy Road Anderson, SC 29625 from 9am - 12pm. We are looking to find 30 new members for our family to fill the following roles:

Detention Control & Property Specialist (Civilian/Non-Certified)
-Starting Pay: $37,385 - $42,409

Communications Operator
-Starting Pay: $41,158 - $46,688

Detention Deputy
-Starting Pay: $46,615 - $52,879

Qualifications and Benefits:
-No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
-Must be a U. S. citizen.
-High school diploma or GED required.
-Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
-Must successfully pass all required background investigations and security clearances.
-Must have a satisfactory credit history.

C. Hembree is a participant in our Operation Jump Start Program, an opportunity designed to introduce high school seniors to careers in law enforcement and public safety while allowing them to gain valuable hands-on experience, training, and insight into the important work performed by our Sheriff’s Office.

Operation Jump Start is about building the next generation of public safety professionals by giving young people an opportunity to learn, grow, and experience the many career paths available within law enforcement.

It is Team Study sessions that get them through it….
Class 26-3 is officially in Week 3 of Basic Law Enforcement Training at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy! 💙

They’ve been working hard, training, and pushing themselves every step of the way. This Friday brings another important milestone as they take their Legals 1 Test — and we know they’ve put in the work to be ready!

From all of us at the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, we’re sending Class 26-3 all the good vibes, encouragement, and confidence as they tackle this test! 📚💪
